MembreHi friends, i’m new here and my apologies for English but unfortunately i do not speak French.
I’m an Italian watchmaker and collector, obviously Omega fan.
Here i’d like to share with you one of my last restoration, and i’d like to read your appreciated comments.
On all my works i try to keep all original parts, restoring them if possible, like hands, dials and so on.Thanks, Aldo.
It’s a 980 caliber Memomatic, with cosmetic treatment and some original spares needed.
Here’s mouvement while disassembling for service :

A couple of picures showing the case :

Finally , the watch assembled with refinished case :

MembreCongratulations…
I would be curious to see the dial and the hands before your intervention.
Was there a lot of work on it, did you change some pieces ?
Thanks in advance.ps: pinaise, la carrure est sublime avec cette bande polie sur le brossé, c’était comme ça d’origine pour ceux qui connaissent le modéle ? (juste pour le plaisir de mettre un peu de français aussi, non mais…

MembreThanks for your positive comments.
Unfortunately i have not other pictures on this watch, dial was just cleaned and hands just relumed.
About spares, new crystal, balance (the hairspring was broken),mainspring.
It was a watch i had for restoration but when i’ll service mine i’ll take some more shots for you.
What i mean about restore original dials or hands is like this military Cyma i did some time ago.

Hai fatto un bel lavoro su quest’orologio.
Questo modello (l’Omega) mi piace molto, sai se è difficile a trovare, in buone condizione ?Ancora grazie per le foto.
P.S. : Scusami, non sono troppo bravo in italiano.
