Jake
MembreHi Yous!!!
Thank you for sharing your kind words and superb compliment. I actually agree with you, in the sense, that I really enjoy just reading Jake’s Rolex Watch Blog and staring at all the great photos. For some reason, I find Rolex history to be extremely fascinating and inspirational.
One of the things I wonder about the most is whether or not the people in the photos, would just sit and stare at their Rolex watches like most of us do. I wonder if Martin Luther King or Che Guevara were inspired by the design, quality and sturdy build quality of their Rolex? In my personal opinion, I don’t see how they could not have been!!!
I am not sure it you are saying that you have a photo of Che Guevara or you are asking if I have one on the Rolex blog. I do have a pretty good higher res photo of Che and you can see it by going to:
http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/che-guevara-rolex-submariner.html
I also have other photos of Che wearing his Rolex that I have not had a chance to put up, but I will as soon as I get the chance. I have heard many people suggest Che wore a GMT Master, but it looks more like a Submariner to me.
I say this because if you click on the photo of him on my blog, it appears as if the winding crown is the larger Trip-lock and not the Twin-lock, but I am not certain. What do you think?
Also, if I understand you correctly, and you are asking me if I have a high resolution photo of Che, the answer is yes if you click on the photo of him in the link I provided above, but also remember that you can find any photo on my blog by typing in your search query in the search box in the upper left hand corner of your browser, right under the back and forward buttons.
I hope this helps, and once agian, thank you for sharing your kind words.
I have much, much more amazing Rolex history coming up which I am certain you will enjoy!!!
Warmest regards,
Jake Ehrlich

MembreI don’t know who this "Che Guevara" is.
He’s just pretending to be me. I am so offensed !

Concerning his watch, you can see the cyclop’reflect on your picture, so this can’t be a 5513.
The thickness of the glass is too light to be a 1680, so I confirm it seems to be a 1675, so a GMT.8 juillet 2008 à 4h49 #420000460328Jake

MembreThanks Jake for your precisions. I know that almost pictures of the Che with Rolex are property of Magnum Photos Agency, so here we can have hi resolution and good zoom on the Rolex…

MembreIn your picture Jake, we cannot see distinctively thr type of oyster crown we see the cyclop date and its interesting to make a zoom with a grahic correction of the bezel : if we see 2.4.6 etc its GMT and …..30….45 its a sub

MembreYous, Guevara’s watch can’t be a 1680 Sub date for the simple reason that this watch did not exist at that time. The 1680 was launched in 1966, and in the photos previoulsly shown, Che Guevara wears a 1675.
Blink is right
.Fidel Castro wore a 5513: This photo appears in Jake’s Blog, but not in this high resolution if I remember.

Regards,
Michel.__________________________________
